It's also made to appeal to as many people as possible, hence why there's no ridiculous difficulties. It's made by a handful of people on a payroll and with the resources to make everything keysounded. ![]() Sometimes you can look at an LN and know its length. Try to pick out exactly where the release is. Hell, I use downscroll for osumania both 4k and 7k, but i play stepmania in upscroll. all use downscroll, and osumania defaults to downscroll. Previous games such as beatmania/lr2, o2jam, etc. If its specifically releases, try focusing on them a bit more when you play. Downscroll prevalence comes from 2 things. I havent did anything recently to make the mania part any better though Ive been spending most of my skinning efforts on standard mode. Try lowering your scroll speed, or even speeding it up slightly when playing LN maps. The osumania portion is more or less a recoloring/modification of the default skin (IIDX-inspired colors, StepMania-inspired hit judgements, O2Jam hit bursts), but I did almost everything by myself. O2jam was even worse.Äjmax on the other hand has no custom content. If you think thats a problem, try different skins, or vision mods like HD and FL. If you play Standard converted to Mania beatmap. This is what every rhythm game turns into in the more advanced stages and with community made content though. 'O2Jam U'is 'MOMO Corporation' developed Ultimate Rhythm Action Game. After awhile OSU doesnt even become a rhythm game anymore and more of a reaction game where you are smashing notes that might have some vague relation to the melody of the songs at hand. With the upcoming long note calculation rework it will become more justifiable to implement this directly in to skinning/layout editor as long notes will be less powerful. ![]() I haven't played Respect yet but from what I know with the other djmax games, it relies more on accuracy and less about complex note patterns. As percy/cut long note skins with custom long note ends becomes more and more common in osu mania, it would be nice to support this in lazer. Like someone mentioned earlier, osumania plays more like o2jam with its lenient accuracy and long note spam (at least with 7k). osumania then they both probably play differently. These skins were ported to osu from Quaver using the raster textures, as opposed to my vector files to lessen the workload.
